Cher toys were big in the late 1970s, the time of The Cher Show and The Sonny & Cher Show in 1976/77.

The Cher makeup center was modeled after the Barbie makeup center and came with curlers and face paint.

 

 

Cher's Sing Along Phonograph was a portable record player.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cher's Dressing Room was a closet/backstage dressing room/carrying case for outfits that went with the Mego Cher doll.

 

 

 

 

 

Sonny & Cher had matching George Barris cars and matching George Barris toy car kits.

 

 

 

Like the Dressing Room above, the Cher Travel Trunk was a holding spot for the many outfits of the Mego Cher Doll.

 

 

 

The mother-lode of all Cher toys, the Sonny & Cher Theatre in the Round. A revolving stage with three or four scenes: the main stage, Sonny's Pizzaria, and Cher's dressing room — it also came with piano, microphone stand and dressing table. I almost fainted when my parents gave me this on my 8th birthday. Then they threw away the box! So much joy. So much pain.
